Mycetinis is a genus of fungus in the Marasmiaceae family. The Dictionary of the Fungi (10th edition, 2008) reports that it is a widespread genus containing eight species.
Mycetinis rubra has an long stalk with a red cap. The light is yellow, but the light turns red at the top. The light is strong enough to be visible during the day, and would make a lovely night light. Mycetinis rubra is placed on top of a small heap of 'moss' made out of wool and embroidery.
